How a water jet cutting machine works
This type of water jet cutting machine takes cold water and pressurises it to around 60,000 PSI. This high pressure water is then forced through a series of narrow orifices or jewels. These enhance and focus the water stream into a powerful cutting force.
For many items pure water is sufficient to cut cleanly. For hard materials we add in special powdered abrasive which enhances the cutting power of water alone.
This water jet cutting system allows you to have accurate, intricate parts cut in almost any kind of sheet material- from Glass through to steel and stone; water jet cutting handles all materials.
