Great value foam PVC lettering for display & exhibition work
Foam PVC lettering is a cost effective means of delivering a quality
result on all interior projects.
Although White foam PVC lettering can be used externally we generally recommend that you use acrylic for most exterior projects- acrylic colours are more stable and fade resistant.
This does not however mean that foam PVC lettering does not have it's place for great value interior work.
What you can do with foam PVC lettering
With foam PVC lettering you can make all kinds of exhibition lettering, interior signage, wayfinding and display boards.
Foam PVC is the perfect material for these applications as it's light, easy to handle, more resistant to rough handling and easy to install.
Foam PVC lettering is very cost effective
Foam PVC lettering is considerably cheaper to manufacture than acrylic. The base PVC material is cheaper and our system can process the material much faster than acrylic.
Foam PVC now comes in a wide range of colours- previously you were limited to a fairly small, basic palette of colours. With the new range of material now available a lot of internal work that previously had to be done in acrylic can now be done in foam pvc.
Is foam PVC lettering and alternative to Perspex letters?
Foam PVC lettering is lighter and made from a material which is considerably cheaper than Perspex and other acrylics. With Foam PVC letters you can have a light, easy to handle and mount lettering system which is perfectly suitable for all kinds of interior display work.
Where the foam PVC material is limited is on exterior applications. We have found that the coloured variants of foam PVC fade quite dramatically. this is down to UV light which is a naturally occurring part of sunlight.
Colours which are especially bad at fading are Red's and Yellow's. To be perfectly frank we would not recommend that you use this type of material on exterior projects- the cost savings over Perspex are not worth the risk.
Gloss PVC material.
Foam PVC also comes in a Gloss version. This is the same basic material with a factory applied top coat on one side. Although it is very glossy it will fade over time. Whilst some recommend you can use this material long term outdoors we would always look to offer you a Perspex option. Perspex gives you the guaranteed long term exterior life that sign work demands.
Foam PVC lettering is still a great value option.
