The process of creating built up letters is mostly automated. We use sophisticated techniques to precisely calculate bend points and curve sections on the edge return.
This generates very accurate built up letter components.
Cutting the component parts of a built up letter
The file generated by our specialist systems are then sent to our large
production system
where the faces and side returns are cut. The edge returns precisely made to fit
the perimeter of each character.
This process eases the corner bends and makes for a much neater letter.
Once cut all edges are formed to follow the perimeter of the face letter and the whole thing is bonded together making for a strong, light letter.

This built up lettering project is comprised of 23 individually illuminated letters 900mm high by 160mm deep. Faces made from anti vandal polycarbonate and letter backs fitted with our own WATERPROOF led's allow us to create this type of project for less.
The letter edges are made from a unique aluminium system which is not available from anyone else in the UK sign industry. This product gives strength and durability at a lower cost than traditional manufacturing means.
Built up lettering to the right price.
We priced this project against other trade suppliers. The LED's
we used are from
our own range and were 76% cheaper than those quoted by one of
the leading sign industry suppliers- and the modules we were offered were not
waterproof. Waterproof LED's give you the ultimate piece of mind as call outs to
fix modules which have got wet are totally eliminated.
Using our aluminium system we were able to manufacture a strong, light letter which was easily able to withstand the rigours of a third floor installation.
A complete built up lettering solution.
This project called for welded steel support framework. Designed to withstand wind loading based on current British Standards the steelwork was fabricated and finished in our own workshop.

We manufacture quality built up lettering in a variety of materials for a variety of applications.
PVC built up letters.
These are made from White or coloured foam PVC sheet. Lightweight with a smooth, even colour these built up letters are used for point of sale and promotional work. Our foam PVC built up letters are an ideal alternative to polystyrene letters which are very flammable and easy to damage. PVC built up letters can be made up to 5 feet high and as "thick" as you like.
Perspex built up letters.
These built up letters are made from premium grade acrylic- either Perspex or Plexiglas. You can have the full range of Perspex or Plexiglas materials turned into striking three dimensional letters. If you choose a light transmitting colour we can supply you with a complete range of LED illumination. This type of built up letter is ideal for internal and external use.
Stainless steel built up letters.
Manufactured from high grade stainless steel this type of built up lettering adds style and class to any application. We manufacture all stainless steel lettering to high tolerances and can supply complete integral LED lighting for halo effects.
Aluminium built up letters.
These are fabricated from top grade aluminium sheeting which is cut and shaped to suit your specific requirements. We can supply an integral LED lighting rig which will deliver rear projecting halo effect lighting.

Colour coil aluminium built up letters.
Our colour coil built up letters are made from pre finished aluminium which is assembled as a built up letter return. A coloured Perspex face letter is the bonded inside the colour core letter "frame". The back of the letter is made using 10mm thick White PVC which can be factory fitted with LED's.
Colour coil aluminium built up letters are strong, durable and very keenly priced. Standard colours include Black, White, Red, Yellow, Blue, Green, Chrome, Copper and Brass effects. Built up letters made from this system can be mounted using the same cup and peg fixings used for flat cut Perspex letters.
Trimcap aluminium built up letters
Trimcap built up letters are a version of an American classic. These built up letters have an aluminium return, a White Dibond relfective back and a Perspex letter with a flexible trimcap bonded around the edge.
