Acrylic polishing
Get that professional finish with our acrylic polishing service
Polished acrylic looks great. For those interior projects or high value signs your customers are going to want a polished result.
Our acrylic polishing service uses specialised equipment which gives the best results. Flame polished acrylic is something which you should be offering your customers- for a quality final finish a polished edge is what your clients expect.
You can charge more for a polished acrylic finish
If you opt for acrylic polishing you can quite rightly demand a higher price. The finished result of polished acrylic is far superior to raw, un-polished acrylic.
Or you can offer polished acrylic as standard- this may help you win the contract
Alternatively you can offer acrylic polishing as a valuable extra to your clients. Mention that your quotation includes polished edges as standard and you may well find you are offering a better package.
In either case you benefit as we make no charge for standard flame polishing projects.
Polycarbonate polishing
Talk to most suppliers and they will tell you that polycarbonate cannot be polished. Their suggestion will be to use abrasive paper which is very time consuming.
We offer a solution which is faster and more economical.
After extensive testing we have perfected a new technique for polishing the edges of polycarbonate. Now you can have the same polishing effect on both Polycarbonate and Acrylic.
Do you really need acrylic polishing?
For large exterior sign lettering you don't. For interior work and clear acrylic pieces then you most certainly do.
Why you need to polish
When acrylic is machined on our CNC system the cutting tool leaves a slight tool mark on the edges. You will find that this is the case when using any kind of saw or router bit to cut acrylic.
Polishing eliminates these marks and gives a neat, professional finish which is something all customers are looking for.
Can you polish acrylic yourself?
Unless you have specialised equipment specifically designed for acrylic polishing you should avoid trying to carry out this work yourself.
Using the wrong equipment will damage the acrylic face or warp the piece you are trying to polish.
It really isn't worth trying to polish acrylic yourself when we offer a complementary acrylic polishing service for any lettering, panels or parts we machine for you out of Perspex, Plexiglas or any other brand of acrylic.
